Vidya Poshak Dharwad extends support to meritorious students having financial constraints for pursuing higher education and so far more than 4000 students in 20 districts of Karnataka State have received assistance. In Dakshina Kannada District, Vidya Poshak, in association with Dhrithi Foundation, Mangalore has extended support to more than 200 needy students in the last two years. In the year 2006, 85 students were provided scholarships worth Rs 153000 and text books worth Rs. 8000. This year, support has been provided to 204 students (54 renewals) totaling Rs. 3,68,500 and books worth Rs. 9000. These students will be supported throughout their education until they are employed. For the year 2008-09, Dhrithi Foundation and Vidya Poshak, Dharwad invite early applications from deserving students so that they can be helped at the time of admission to college/professional courses. Students who are appearing for SSLC/PUC II examination in 2008, expecting to score more than 75% marks and having an annual family income of less than Rs. 36000 can apply. Students already pursuing professional courses who have obtained 65% marks in their qualifying examination or a CET rank of less than 12000, with an annual income of Rs. 60000 can also apply. The application forms can be obtained from Dhrithi Foundation, Light house Hill Road, Mangalore – 575 001 by sending a self addressed envelope with a Rs. 5 stamp or can be downloaded free from Dhrithi Foundation website. ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ನೆರವನ್ನೂ, ರೂ. ೮೦೦೦ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು
ತಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರಾಗುವವರೆಗೂ ಈ ನೆರವು ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿದೆ.
ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತ ೨೦೦೮ನೇ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಪೋಷಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಧೃತಿ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಅರ್ಹ
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿಯೇ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ವೇತನದ ಅರ್ಜಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು,
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಯಾ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರುವ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ

ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಒಟ್ಟು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಕೌಟುಂಬಿಕ ಆದಾಯವು ರೂ. ೩೬೦೦೦ವನ್ನು

ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ೧೨೦೦೦ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಳಗಿನ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು
ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಕೌಟುಂಬಿಕ ಆದಾಯವು ರೂ. ೬೦೦೦೦ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಿದ್ದರೆ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬಹುದು.
